Missions in Tennessee
December 19th-22nd
Seven members of the mission team from Sandy Creek went to Gatlinburg, TN, December 19th-22nd. Team members included William Edwards, Dave Hall, Amy Martin, Joy Wade, Morgan Wade, Mary Fran Bell-Johnson, and Nancy Strole. The team worked with Samaritans Purse to assist victims of the recent wildfires. They worked alongside volunteers from all over the country to sift through ash to recover memorabilia and family heirlooms. Each family was presented with a Billy Graham Bible that was signed by all of the volunteers that had worked at their home. This
was a very humbling experience and reminder of what is truly important during this time of year. The team would like to thank the church for the support and opportunity to go on this trip. We would also like to ask for continued prayer for the fire victims and volunteers who will continue to serve during the coming weeks and months.
